Dan, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, brings a unique blend of legal and educational experience to his work as an educator. For eight years, Dan practiced law in St. Louis and Boston, representing clients in noteworthy civil rights cases, including those that arose following police violence in Ferguson, Missouri. Through these experiences, he gained a first-hand understanding of the complex interactions between race, power, and justice. Dan shifted his focus to education in 2019, driven by a belief in building close relationships with students and families to create a supportive and joyful learning environment. His passion for community extends beyond the classroom, and alongside his wife, he has raised over $300,000 for cancer research through the Pan-Mass Challenge. Outside of school, Dan enjoys playing Pokémon with his children, watching Kansas Jayhawks basketball, and making ribs in his backyard smoker. Dan joined Meridian in 2026.
