Biography
Emily (she/her) grew up in the Bay Area of California before deciding to try out the colder climates of the Boston area for college. While in school, she sought out different education-centered experiences, including teaching preschoolers to program robots and teaching action-based civics to high school students. During and after college, Emily worked for EXPLO, a hands-on summer enrichment program, where she developed curriculum and taught everything from pasta-making to bacterial epidemiology and furthered her love of experiential learning opportunities. She is excited to bring her passion of problem-solving, computer science, and math to the Meridian community. When she is not teaching, Emily enjoys infusing science into her cooking and baking, playing new board games, and crocheting three-dimensional artwork. Emily joined Meridian in 2019.
