Your Path to Meridian

From your first inquiry to admissions decision, our process is designed for Meridian to really get to know your student.

  • Inquiry Form

    Register with Ravenna to receive information about Meridian and our admissions events. You’ll get more information to see what makes Meridian distinctive and dates for upcoming events for prospective families.

  • Information Session

    (Fall through early winter): Come see Meridian for yourself! Our information sessions let prospective students and families learn about our curriculum and community by hearing directly from current students, parents, and teachers.

  • Complete Your Application

    Your application on Ravenna will include parent forms, a student form, and reaching out to your current school for records and teacher evaluations. You will also schedule an interview and visit morning for your applicant, which should occur before February 15th. Your application must be completed at least two days before your interview. If you are applying for Matched Tuition, you will also do so at this time.

  • Scheduled Visit and Interview

    Students spend a morning hosted by a current Meridian student, sit in on classes, and meet with a member of the Meridian Admission Team for their interview. Parents are welcome to schedule to speak with the admissions team as well.

  • Admissions Decision

    Meridian sends out regular admissions decisions to families in early March. You have until March 31 to accept the offer.

Is Meridian Your First Choice?

Accelerated Admissions

If Meridian is your family’s first choice school, Accelerated Admissions allows you to receive an admissions decision sooner, rather than waiting until March. Applying through Accelerated Admissions may also increase your access to Matched Tuition offers, as Meridian has a finite budget available for aid.

Applying Accelerated signals to our Admissions Committee that Meridian is your first choice. It does increase your acceptance chances by applying Accelerated, as Meridian seeks to admit students who are enthusiastic about the learning and community we offer.

On Ravenna, you will be asked if you want to apply through Accelerated Admissions. Once your application is complete, we will notify you of our decision within two weeks. If accepted, you have two weeks to decide if you want to enroll. 

commitment expectations

You are not making a commitment to attend Meridian simply by applying with the accelerated option. However, once you decide to attend and submit your enrollment agreement, that is a commitment, and you will be required to withdraw any applications pending at other schools.

You may apply through Accelerated Admissions any time before January 15. Families seeking Matched Tuition should submit your financial information on Clarity along with your Ravenna application.

If accepted, you will receive your Matched Tuition offer with your admission decision, allowing you to consider the full offer when making your decision. Please see the Matched Tuition page for more information on how Meridian supports families.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Standardized testing is not required, but this information does help us better understand and serve incoming students. Families may submit MAP, MCAS, ISEE, SSAT, ERB, or other available results. Educational evaluations may also be submitted. If you don’t have any test scores to submit, students will complete a brief in-house assessment at Meridian.

  • You may email Rob, our Director of Admissions: admissions@meridianacademy.org. Please reach out to schedule your interview day as soon as possible, as our schedule does fill up. Remember that your parent and student application must be completed at least two days before your interview.

  • Accelerated Admissions applicants will hear back within two weeks of completing their full application and interview. Regular decision applications will hear back in early March.
