In celebration of Meridian’s 10th anniversary in 2015, the faculty worked with local graphic designer Mark Beninati to redesign our logo. Throughout this process, we explored other schools' logos, paying particular attention to how design can reflect the values of an institution. Our new logo does this in a variety of ways:
- The nautilus shape is a naturally occurring logarithmic spiral. Its outward and expanding structure reflects the dynamic and ever-evolving curiosity cultivated by Meridian students.
- Embedded into the nautilus are a variety of micro-icons chosen by the faculty. They reflect Meridian’s rich and diverse curriculum, illustrating the many creative pursuits that students take on while here.
- Along with its complex structure, the nautilus is also fully unified, reflecting the strong foundation of community fostered at Meridian.
